Welcome to ACAP, the Academy of Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis, a psychoanalytic institute that offers a clinical training program leading to a Certificate in modern psychoanalysis.ACAP also offers two graduate degrees in affiliation with and through Middle States accredited Centenary College: the Master of Arts in Psychoanalysis (MAP) and the Master of Arts in Psychoanalytic Counseling (MAPC). Graduates from the MAPC are eligible to apply for licensure from the state as Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC). The North Jersey Consultation Center, NJCC, provides the community with mental health treatment for short or long-term therapy at affordable fees. Treatment at NJCC is available for a full range of diagnostic categories. Continuing education units are available for educators, social workers, psychologists, professional counselors and others for all seminars, conferences and courses taken at ACAP.
As the nautilus shell provides a protected environment for the growth of the organism within, modern analysis provides a holding environment which encourages the emotional development and growth of the psyche of the individual.
