Admission Requirements: Master of Arts in Applied Psychoanalysis

Program Description

The Master of Arts in Psychoanalysis, offered at the Academy of Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis in Livingston, New Jersey, is designed to provide graduates with an understanding of how psychoanalytic principles can be applied in therapeutic, institutional, and organizational settings, as well as in every day life.

Students will be able to recognize and address the unconscious processes of human motivation. Upon completion of the Master’s Program in Psychoanalysis, students are eligible to apply for the certificate level of training in psychoanalysis at ACAP. Completion of the certificate level of training satisfies the academic and clinical criteria for applying for New Jersey State Certification in Psychoanalysis.

  • Completed application & Application Fee.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Original transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
  • Biographical Statement – Approximately 500 words
  • Two Letters of Recommendation. .
  • Minimum GPA 2.5.
  • No GRE required.
